Purvis, 33, was turned away after allegedly arrived late for the ceremony at a Georgia funeral home, according to a TMZ report published on Tuesday, June 17. The outlet cited a source said to be close to the former MTV star, who claimed Purvis was told the service would take place at 4 pm local time, but arrived to discover the funeral had already started at 2 pm and that she wasn’t on the guest list.

According to Gosa, Purvis didn’t arrive at the venue until after 4:15 pm, and by then the funeral was already underway. He said Pooes’ family, including her mother, participated in the service.
US Weekly Contacted Purvis and Gosa for comment.
Purvis confirmed through Facebook on Monday, June 2 that his son died at the age of 16.
“It’s hard to write. My beautiful son Weston has passed away,” she wrote next to a series of photos of the two. “He is only 16 years old. Life is so cruel and unfair. I just don’t understand. Oh, my kid is gone, I don’t know what to do. He is so perfect. It’s really my worst nightmare. How you keep going in life after you lose your kids, I dare not speak, I don’t want it to be true.
She also said directly to her son: “I love you so much, Weston Owen Gosa. God, I am my heart. You are my heart. I am proud of the young man you are. I can’t continue. Without you, I rest in peace. My angels are too fast. You are gone too fast. You are too early. April 2, 2009 to June 2, 2025.”
Whitney added in the second post: “Rest in peace, my baby Weston. I love you forever, precious. I will never understand why life must be so cruel. You will always be my child.”

“We tried CPR and called the ambulance. The paramedics also tried it and took him to a hospital in Gordon County where he was pronounced dead,” Amy wrote. “He had several health problems and diabetes. We were totally heartbroken and shocked. It was so unexpected.”
