We Hit Their Spine: Female Officials Reveal the Accuracy and Power behind Sindoor Action

In a decisive counter-terrorism operation called Operation Sindoor, Indian armed forces targeted and destroyed nine terrorist infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) in the early hours of Wednesday. The air strikes were launched in response to the terrorist attacks in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22.
The operation lasted 25 minutes, between 1:05 and 1:30 a.m., and is based on precise intelligence, aimed at dismantling the terrorist launch pads, training centers and indoctrination centers across the border. Foreign Minister Vikram Misri, Indian Army Sofia Qureshi and Indian Air Force wing commander Vyomika Singh shared details of the strike at a joint press conference.
The briefing opens with visual effects of past Pakistan-backed terrorist attacks, including the 2001 parliamentary attack, the 2008 Mumbai attack, URI, Pulwama and the most recent Pahalgam strike, highlighting the long-term threat posed by terrorist networks operated in Pakistani soil.
Foreign Minister Misri said the Pahalgam attack was not only to undermine peace in the valley, but also to incite community unrest. He described Pakistan as a safe haven for terrorists and stressed that India's response was “measured, responsible and non-common”.
Colonel Qureshi said the operation was specifically targeted at nine key locations, many of which have been the training and operation bases for horror clothing for decades. “In the past three decades, Pakistan has fostered a comprehensive terror industry. It has now been removed,” she said.
The wing commander Singh stressed that the base of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Muzaffarabad, Barnala camp and Mahmoona camp in Sialkot were the main sites that were destroyed. “This strike broke the spine of their terror network,” she said, reiterating India's zero-tolerance policy for terrorism.
