“I feel very good about the fact that she is safe,” Gizel said, adding that Karen's husband, ray,78, “still adjusting” after Karen was imprisoned.
In February, Karen was sentenced to two years in prison and one year in prison, meaning she would be imprisoned for one year. She was ordered to be taken directly to police custody.
The verdict comes after the Bravo star, known as Potomac's “Great Virgin” after being charged with DUI, DWI and reckless driving following a car accident in March 2024. She was found guilty of nearly all charges – except for the charge of reckless driving – December 2024.
“Although we are disappointed with the jury’s ruling, we certainly respect their decision and thank them for the time they heard about our case,” Huger’s attorney, A. Scott Boldensaid in a statement people then. “We continue to retain Mrs. Hughe's right to appeal and intend to seek justice on her entirely. We thank you for your current support and prayer for Mrs. Hughe and her family.”
