6. After the small plane crashes, it disappears at sea

Authorities said a search was conducted on Sunday evening, which was conducted on six missing persons who crashed in the oceans of San Diego that afternoon.
The U.S. Coast Guard received a report at 12:45 p.m. that the twin-engine Cessna 414 crashed three miles west of Lomacisis. According to the Coast Guard, a debris field is located near the coast with an estimated water depth of 200 feet.
Multiple agencies work together to search for the area for any survivor on Sunday afternoon and evening. These include crew members of the Air and Ocean Coast Guard, aviation and marine customs and border protection personnel, Port San Diego Police crew and San Diego lifeguard.
From 11:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., no one was found, Coast Guard’s small police officer Ryan Graves told The Times. He said the Coast Guard tool crew will continue to search overnight and the helicopter crew will rejoin the effort first.
Local resident Tyson Wislofsky witnessed the crash while surfing near Point Loma on Sunday afternoon.
“I saw him fall at an angle. He didn’t fly straight to the ground,” Wislowski told NBC4 News. “The next time he came out of the clouds, he went straight into the water. All the throttle.”
The National Transportation Safety Commission is investigating the crash. Information about the identity of the missing person has not been immediately obtained.
