Jason Segel Playing Jimmy, a therapist, grieves the death of his beloved wife by drinking, taking drugs and generally ignoring his teenage daughter Alice (Lukita Maxwell). When Jimmy tries to bring his life back together, he begins to take a fundamentally different approach to his therapy, by gaining insight into the lives of his patients. He even invited someone, a veteran named Sean, with PTSD (Luke Tennie), moved into his swimming pool room.
Jimmy's mentor Paul (a taupe man Harrison Ford), colleague Gaby (Jessica Williams), best friend Brian (Michael Urie) and friendly neighbor Liz (Christa Miller) Everyone gathers together to form a community around Jimmy and Alice, and it all changes with the experience. The colorful actors have excellent chemistry and comedy timing, as well as dramatic ribs to handle sometimes heavy subjects.
