AI building scales Navlive Scoops £4m to change the construction industry

Navlive has newly developed a handheld scanning tool powered by AI to provide architects and construction professionals with the ability to create high-precision construction site scans in real time, launching today with a seed fund of £3.3 million.
This round is led by Deep Tech Investor Ose, SOSV, Oxford Capital Partners, Clearance Risk Partners, AE Works, Britbots, Britbots, Oxford Innovation Finance, and C. A £700,000 grant from Innovate UK last year.
Navlive’s cutting-edge handheld LIDAR scanner combined with Edge AI processing is developed by robotics research scholars at Oxford University, allowing users to scan all buildings to generate accurate site maps in real time.
Navlive’s scanners help architects, developers and construction companies capture highly detailed, accurate building drawings with instant 2D/3D building models, RICS-grade, 1:100 investigations, and direct scan-to-BIM integration. This eliminates the need for third-party surveyors and integrates with all leading architectural software.
The team has grown to 15 and operates in offices in London and Oxford. CEO Chris Davison is an experienced entrepreneur who was formerly one of Southeast Asia’s largest challenger banks and brings extensive experience in venture capital and company size. CTO Dr. David Wisth holds a PhD in Computer Vision, Grand Slam, Robotics and is a leading expert in 3D Maps and Artificial Intelligence, COO and CFO VIKRAM NEGI is a senior financial director, COO and Scarive forsuts for the Building and Kuild to Report Reption Report Reption in Europe and Southeast Asia.
Navlive has been widely used in large-scale construction projects through leading AEC companies including Jacobs, Atkinsrealis and Mace. Navlive is also used in nuclear and defence applications, including the UK Atomic Energy Administration.
