Fans didn’t give up Time round– Robert Jordan’s epic fantasy adaptation was suddenly cancelled by Amazon after three seasons – nor was there any show host Rafe Judkins. Judkins took to Instagram to share his reaction to the cancellation (he felt the pain of his fans, which was clear), praised his collaborators, and weighed the status quo of the TV industry. Here is the full statement:
“I asked my questions many times last week- Why Time round Cancel? The truth is, I don’t know. I wish I could say something clear and neat and explain to all of us why it ended, but sadly, I can’t.
What I can say is that the cast and crew on our show are the most talented and outstanding people I have the privilege to work with. And, we’ve all been very lucky to have done something that’s not only loved by fans (even critics! Ha!), but also by a large number of people around the world, making it out in the Nelson Top 10 for nearly 20 weeks and in the last decade, few feats have matched.
Even from the earliest productions of the stadium, one of my core goals was to tell the whole story. Because the wheels of Time Book will do the best things TVs have always done – and do better as they develop. When our cast and team join, they can see potential too if we are allowed to complete this incredible story. We made many personal and creative sacrifices in the ending process, so the short sacrifice was a devastating blow to all of us.
There are already many articles on this bigger trend in seasons where TV trends are less and get other streaming subscribers in fewer episodes and faster ways. But I really think it goes against the basic power of television, the long storytelling. It’s an art form, like epic fantasy, it’s best, and it provides a place for people to love characters last year after year. And I believe there are executives, studios and networks that know this. I believe we will find our way through the current iteration of the industry and go back to what we do best – bringing great people into people’s living rooms and weekly life. ”

“It’s going to Time round Go through another network to complete this story? Sadly, this is not something that happens often. But this did happen. In fact, one of the reasons we chose Amazon as the home of the show is because they are in the process of picking up the sound Extended After Syfy is cancelled. So, who knows, maybe Time round Show will do what these books have managed to do for the first day since the first, a traditional definition of “start” and “end point.” I certainly hope to do this – because of this book series, these fans should see the story end. ”
