The 32-year-old “Flowers” singer appears at a New York City event to promote her upcoming music movie Beautiful stuffThis is her companion to her ninth studio album.
According to clips shared on social media, some fans want Cyrus to perform during the event, even if she is attending Q&A with the producers Panos Cosmatos. This misunderstanding led to a very awkward moment, with fans starting to shout her singing during the panel discussion.
“We thought it was a concert. We paid $800,” one angry attendee shouted, and the other screamed, “Are you really going to sing?”
Cyrus initially tried to ignore the ongoing pupil until a fan started yelling her to sing her classic 2009 single “The Climb.”

Her new movie Beautiful stuff It premieres Friday at Tribeca and will be released in theaters on Thursday, June 12, for just one night. The musical will arrive on streaming services on Monday, June 30.
