Ukraine stops Sumi’s Russian offensive

According to President Vodimir Zelensky, Ukrainian troops are trying to curb Russian military offensive in the northeast of Sumi.

“We are illuminating the position. What’s important is there are 53,000 Russians there,” Zelensky said on Friday.

“Fighting is going on along the border. You have to understand that the enemy is being detained there,” the president said.

Since Moscow’s full invasion of Ukraine, hard battles have been fought along the front lines in the east and south.

However, as Moscow tried to secure the so-called buffer zone in the Sumi region to protect its territory from attacks, the latest Russian offensive threatened to cut further into Ukraine from the north.

According to Zelensky, the Russian army is only 7 kilometers on the border.

He had said a few days ago that the attack had stopped and the Ukrainian army even took back the territory.

However, Ukrainian military blogs have no evidence and warn against continuing to operate from the Northeast into the country.

Zelensky: No Russia moves towards Dnipropetrovsk

In eastern Ukraine, Russian troops are trying to advance from the Donetsk region with a small amount of impact troops to the Dnipropetrovsk region, which has not been affected by ground combat, Zelensky said.

However, he denied that the gains were significant or lasting: “At present, there are no forward DNIPro regions.”

In a clear confirmation, Ukrainian military blog Deepstate recorded a successful Ukrainian strikeback at the site.
