Border 4Gearbox Software’s latest entry in the popular heist shooter series is now available for pre-order for $70, $10 less than many assume. The price of the game was first questioned when details of the September 12 release date were announced, and Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford suggested whether the game will be sold for $80.
Pitchford puts his feet on his mouth, X shares a behind-the-scenes video Border 4 For Switch 2. A fan responded to the video asking Pitchford not to charge $80 for the game, and Pitchford replied: “a) Not my phone call. B) If you are a real fan, you’ll find a way to make it happen.”

Naturally, anyone who is surprised by the sudden appearance of $80 after the release Mario Karting World. Next, Pitchford didn’t exactly double, but on the PAX East panel later in May, he didn’t deny that the game would be more expensive, noting “Border 4 More than twice the development budget Border 3.“
Official booking information solves the problem: the game doesn’t go like Mario Kart. Standard Edition Border 4 The fee is $70 and comes with free vault hunter, weapons and drone skins if you book. If you land on the $100 Deluxe Edition, you’ll get more skins and a “bounty package” that includes exclusive areas and weapons. For the $130 Super Deluxe Edition, you’ll get all of this along with the “Vault Hunter Pack”, which includes two story DLC packs for the game and new playable characters. A $70 game is not a $60 game, but if the price is your biggest concern, it is better than $80.
Transmission plan show more Border 4Story and gameplay for Borderlands Fan Fest on June 21. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on September 12. The Switch 2 release is also scheduled to be released in 2025, and Gearbox plans to share more information about it later.
