Handwritten notes, Sara Sorribes Tormo Share personal pain.
In a frank Instagram post, the 85th-ranked Spaniard said she had “suffered months of pain” in court and brought time to her mental health.
The 28-year-old Spaniard said she wasn't sure whether the break was temporary or permanent.
“I want to tell you that I decided to take some time. For myself, my mind and body for a while.” “I've been suffering for many months on the tennis court.
“The cheerful and happy Sarah you see on the court is far from the reality of everything I carry.”
Sorribes Tormo, who plays the body brand of tennis, said she has been coping with discomfort, but admitted that “the moments of suffering are far more than those who are calm.”
“I lost the excitement of training, improving and even playing,” Sorribes Tormo said. “The painful moments far outweigh those calming moments, from someone who has always loved working, improving and competing.
“That’s why, besides needing help, I feel like I need to stop and rest. I don’t know if it’s permanent or temporary.
“I want to be consistent and keep it in line with the feeling of the body.”
Sorribes Tormo shocked Wimbledon champion and world number one at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics Ash Barty Show with confidence.
Sorribes Tormo beat Barty 6-4, 6-3 in one hour and 34 minutes, while Barty threw Sorribes Tormo with 55 unforced errors, with only 13.
