Google’s new AI app DOPPL allows you to try out clothing virtually

The company announced in a blog post that Google Labs is using a new experimental AI app called Doppl that allows everyone to try it out with virtual outfits. You can upload photos of yourself and any outfit to see how it looks, and even create your AI-generated videos and clothes in motion.
To use it, first upload a full body photo of yourself and then select a photo or screenshot of your outfit. For example, you can take screenshots or download photos from sources like Pinterest or clothing websites, or take photos of clothes from locations like thrift stores. You can even take a picture of a friend wearing the clothes you want.
Once the costume is selected, Doppl (a brief imagination of Doppelgänger) will create an AI-generated image that allows you to wear it and convert the static image into a mobile video. You can continue browsing the outfits, save your favorites and share different looks. “Doppl is in the early days and fits, and the appearance and clothing details may not always be accurate,” Google notes.
Google recently launched a similar shopping experience attempt feature, but DOPPL is strictly used as a standalone application. It seems people can have some fun, especially on social media, but it may also help Google collect data about users’ purchasing and shopping habits. The app is now available on iOS and Android, but only currently in the United States.
