More than a dozen passengers were injured when evacuated the plane after alerting a “false fire warning.”
Ryanair will take off from Palma Airport in Spain to Manchester, England on Friday, July 4, when inaccurate news was announced on board, prompting the evacuation.
“The flight from Palma to Manchester stopped taking off due to false signs of fire alarms. Passengers disembarked using inflatable slides and returned to the terminal,” a spokesperson for the airline said.
A Ryanair spokesman continued: “When disembarking, a few passengers encountered very minor injuries (ankle sprains, etc.), and the crew requested immediate medical assistance.”

A spokesperson for the Mallorca emergency response staff told sun and Daily Mail Eighteen people needed treatment for their injuries, and six of them were taken to local hospitals.
The spokesman added that the harm was “all”.
Videotapes shared on social media of the incident showed passengers exiting the plane seemed to be an emergency exit door.
Ryanair confirmed to people that there was no fire on the plane and passengers “quickly arranged for replacement aircraft” which left Palma on Saturday, July 5 at 7:05 a.m. local time.

“We apologize to affected passengers for any inconvenience affected,” the airline said.
“There was an incident on Ryanair last night at Palma de Mallorca Airport. There was no fire at any time and this incident would not affect the operation of the airport.”
Majorca’s emergency response staff did not immediately respond to people’s request for comment on July 5.
