Reuters’ X account has been rejected in India due to legal requirements; the government says no blocking order is issued;

The official X of the International News Agency (formerly Twitter) was detained in India, and the platform was described as a response to “legal demand.”
A message displayed on the account reads: “@reuters has been denied response to legal requirements.”
However, a spokesman for the Indian government clarified that no such legal request had been made to block Reuters’ accounts.
The spokesman added that the government is currently working with X to resolve the issue.
“The Indian government has not asked to retain Reuters, we have been resolving the issue with X,” the spokesperson said.
