South Carolina authorities have identified two 23-year-old victims who took place on July 6 in Greenwood Lake, Lawrence County.
The Lawrence County Coroner’s Office identified the victims of the two deceased as Thomas Chandler Davis and Abby Katherine Davis, a young couple who attended Clemson University together, as reported by Fox Carolina.
“On June 6, officials and investigators responded to a boating collision on Lake Greenwood. According to the initial report, an alumni ship carrying five people was hit behind by a Yamaha ship with two people on board,” the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources said in a July 6 statement.
Two people on board were killed in the crash, and two others were transported to a nearby hospital and were treated for injuries, the SCDNR added.

Officials arrested and charged the operator of the Yamaha ship with two counts of felony rowing (BUI) under influence.
“We express our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims,” Scdnr said. “This is still under investigation. As the information becomes available, other information will be shared.”
