Retired Marines are now used for special service training

The newly retired Marine helicopter found a new home in the U.S. Secret Service.

In a video released to X on Wednesday, Secret Service Deputy Agent Troy Sarria announced that the famous aircraft Sikorsky VH-3D is now undergoing agent training at the Rowley Training Center in Maryland.

Marine One has flew past every U.S. president and vice president over the past 50 years.

“To obtain a new Marine helicopter, Deputy Commissioner Mike Jazwiecki[s] Program (PMA-274),” Sarria said. “We work with their current commander [Marine] Colonel [Alex] Ramthun and their chief maintenance officer Matt Cooper in order to acquire the new aircraft. ”

The helicopter is a new authentic marine platform that has been recently retired.

According to reports, there are rumors that the Marines have special safety features and specifications to protect U.S. leaders, including the ability to withstand greater weight and longer distances without refueling.

“It’s real presidential and Secret Service history,” Sariya said.
