Former NFL star Robert Griffin III claimed Thursday that someone from the “Inner Circle” of Chicago Sky Star Angel Reese told him that WNBA forward “has hated” Caitlin Clark.
Griffin wrote several passages on social media, first defending Reese after her racist image of NBA 2K26. He said, “there is no place in the world where racism is available” and Rees “should never be called or portrayed as a monkey”
He added that he was quiet about Rees because he and his family hated in May’s latest remarks after a controversial moment between the two WNBA stars.

He added: “I never attacked me or her family when I said and showed with clear basketball evidence that Angel Reese hated Caitlin Clark. “People in the inner circle of Angels called me and told me I was right, and Angel Reese grew up to hate Caitlin Clark because the media always asked her about Caitlin and kept comparing her with her.
“Some people did it to race, but I never did it and never would. I decided not to be a villain, but to not do it. That said, Angel Reese or any black or any black or any black or any black or any black or woman should not be called or portrayed as a monkey.
Reese seems to respond to Griffin’s remarks in another article.
“Lying on this app is annoying job when everyone knows the first and last name of everyone in my circle,” she wrote.

Griffin drove backwards.
He wrote on X: “I spoke to support Angel Reese against racism rather than starting the drama. But I won’t let anyone twist the truth because it’s inconvenient for them. Instead of trying to check me, just tighten your circles.”
“They called me and said you hate Caitlin Clark, not the other way around. I have zero interest in being the villain of anyone’s story. I just want to have fun, tell the truth and celebrate the movement. But I don’t pretend or lie just to protect the feeling.”
Griffin initially said that Reese “hate” Clark after the May Sky and the Fever Stars got into a fierce skirmish.
