“F1: Movie” Review | A stunning fusion of 300 km/h of grit, glory and Grand Prix realism

However, this is considered a niche sport and, although it has become widespread over the years, not everyone is familiar with the details of this form of motorsport. Let people know what’s going on inside and outside the F1 track, this is a wonderful reality series. “Driving to survive”,” Tell inexperienced audiences that this highly competitive and cruel sport. The Netflix series premiered in 2019 not only tells the world what happened during the competition, but also what happened behind the camera. “F1: Movie” records the journey of an experienced racer, Sonny Hayes (by Brad Pitt), currently resides as a racer and participates in Daytona’s 24 hours. Hayes’ former teammate Rubin Cervantes (by Javier Bardem), ask him to drive to his Formula 1 team APXGP. For him, the remaining nine games of the ongoing season are very important. If his team doesn’t win any of the remaining games, investors will sell the team and he will lose a lot of money.
Initially, Hayes initially refused to join his team and eventually arrived in London to test the drive on the Silverstone Circuit team. But the audition is not just Hayes. It’s also related to his potential teammate Joshua Pearce (by Damson Idris), a young F1 driver, is already a member of the APXGP team. The young man is trying to impress the team because he knows APXGP may not be back next season. However, Sonny Hayes’ arrival made him a little conceited, and he didn’t want veteran racers to join the team. The audience is next to the perfect underdog story they might have seen in previous movies, but here, it feels more rooted and tear-out.
Breathtaking racing sequences, simple story and technical accuracy bring F1 to life

Kosinski quickly drew audiences to the racing world. Whether it’s our first sequence we see in Daytona, or the opening lender, the director takes you to the pulse of racing. You don’t just watch the game, you feel the game and become a part of it. The camera work is natural, it captures the true nature of Formula 1 and every breath after the driver fires into the track at a speed of more than 300 km/h. Photographer Claudio Miranda previously worked at Kosinski “Top Gun: Mavericks”. It shows again why he is one of the best photographers working in Hollywood right now. He offers some of the most fascinating, exciting racing footage you’ll see on the big screen.
Whether it’s a shot of the cockpit cockpit or a close-up view of a driver trying to surpass each other, each frame is carefully crafted and designed. “F1: Movie” not only captures speed;
Another thing Kosinski is best at is how he keeps the storyline simple, yet manages to explain the sport in detail. Whether it’s about the difference between DRS or the soft and hard tires, the film attracts the audience a wealth of technical details. Glimps of maintenance personnel trying to modify aerodynamics between meetings, engineers ready to change tires such as soldiers are not only real. They also add to the pulse of the movie. So, the film is even more compelling when it reveals what happens between the drivers of the same team and their lives.
Excellent performance and emotional depth make this more than just a racing movie

Hayes struggled with age and winning wasn’t the only reason he decided to go to the highest level of the global season again. For him, that means more, and what he is chasing is closing. Pearce, on the other hand, makes a different point of view. He knows what it takes to be a great F1 driver and wants to show off his skills on the biggest stage. This is where the movie soars. The tension between these two drivers forms the core of the movie, rather than being too melodious, but keeps their relationship multi-layered and rooted.
Brad Pitt is as magnetic as Sonny Hayes, and he holds his breath whenever he is on the screen. Meanwhile, Damson Idris is just as good as he manages Pitt’s charm with a great performance. However, it was Kerry Condon and Javier Bardem who stole Kate McKenna and Rubén Cervantes. They are the backbone of this movie and they will be great whenever there is a chance. This is what “supporting actors” work: they turn a good movie into a great movie. In addition, fans of the sport will see some familiar faces during the film, such as Lewis Hamilton, Max Vestapon, Oscar Piastri, Fernando Alonso, Lando Norris, Nico Herkenberg, Charles Leclerc, and others.
All in all, “F1: Movie” is the perfect summer blockbuster, blending with pulse-like racing sequences, great directions, great performances, and Hans Zimmer’s memorable score. The film clearly shows itself. It doesn’t want to be a Shakesperean drama, nor does it want to showcase something high-tech. It’s a simple story about a man in the most exciting context on earth. For Formula One fans, the movie is pure gold. For everyone else, this is probably why you fall in love with such a great sports.
