Senate Approves Rating in Latest Pulse Investigation

More than half of Filipinos are satisfied with the performance of the Philippine Senate, according to the latest Asian survey conducted nationwide in June this year.
53% of those surveyed in June said they approved the Senate performance, an 8% increase in points from 45% in March last year.
On the other hand, the number of Filipinos is uncertain, with the Senate performance shrinking from 34% to 28%, while the disapproval rating drops to 18% from 21% in the same period.
The Senate approval rate hike is comprehensive, with the national capital region accounting for 64%; Mishaya, 64%; Mindanao, 52%.
Pulse Asia’s approval ratings have increased across the social class, and in the ABC category, Asia’s approval ratings have increased from 37% to 46%. 45% to 55% in Class D; 46% to 54% in Class E.
Increased approval ratings are consistent with the surge in chamber productivity on the 19thTh Congress.
Led by Senate President Francis Joseph “Chiz” Escudero, a total of 216 laws were passed during the third regular session, and 73 laws passed in the first and second regular sessions were passed in a total of three times.
The Senate also developed 96 measures to approve the president at its third session, more than four times the 23 measures in the first and second regular sessions.
The measures to approve the third reading increased from 14 of the first two meetings to 42 of the last meeting of Congress on the 19th, which ended on June 11, 2025.
The Senate is currently preparing for 20Th Congress is scheduled for July 28, 2025.
