Scott MacFarlane, a correspondent for CBS News Capitol Hill, told Podcaster Chuck Todd Wednesday that he had caused pain in the Trump rally, accusing the media of attempts to assassinate President Donald Trump in 2024.
Americans shocked Trump’s life at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, but McFarlane said his direct anger at the crowd had suffered personal trauma.
“For the people there, it’s horrible because you see the emerging America,” MacFarlane told Todd on his podcast. “It’s not a shooting, Chuck. It’s-I was diagnosed with PTSD within 48 hours. I was sent off on the trauma leave, not because I think the shooting, but because you see the people’s reaction in your eyes.”
“They come to us,” he said in the clip marked on Daily Caller. “If [Trump] Without jumping fists, they will come and kill us! ”

MacFarlane added later in the discussion: “Many of us are in the press and we talk about this after weeks on the text chain, and it’s very certain that if he doesn’t recover, we’ll die.”
While not everyone in the crowd, MacFarlane claimed that dozens of people opened them up and said, “You did it. It’s your fault. You caused it. You killed him.” [than] Protect us. When he jumped up triumphantly, this saved us. ”

Nevertheless, he said: “I can’t remove the appearance of their faces from my mind. That’s what America is now. It’s not rational. It’s an unreasonable idea to think that the media shoots someone from the top of a building, but the lack of rationality is related to it on January 6th.”
