After a tour of the United States in Turks and Caicos

Brian Tarrence, who was now found nearly two weeks ago in Turks and Caicos, was identified as an American tourist, disappeared while on vacation there last month.

On Wednesday, the Royal Turkish and Caicos Islands Police Force (RT&CIPF) said Talens’ body was found in a July 5 search, but they could only confirm his identity on July 16 after receiving results from forensic dental analysis.

“The autopsy conducted on July 11 showed no signs of trauma and fouls are not suspected at this time,” police said in a media statement on Facebook. “RT&CIPF continues to await the final autopsy and toxicology report to complete the investigation.”

Police said Tarrence, 51, last appeared on June 25. His body was located on July 5 after a series of coordinated searches.

“We express our deepest condolences to Mr. Tallens’ family and loved ones,” said Tourism Minister Zhavargo Jolly.

“We thank the Royal Turks and Caicos Police Force and everyone, volunteers and organizations that participated in the search. The entire Turks and Caicos community joined the Talens family in mourning the loss.”

Experience Turk and Caicos Interim CEO Advisor Paul Pennicook added: “This is a deeply tragic result and our hearts are deeply dedicated to Mr. Tallens’s wife and family. We are committed to supporting them in any way during this difficult time.”

According to private investigator Carl Defazio, Tarrence was last seen in security video, leaving his rental home, heading to Grace Bay in downtown around 3:30 a.m., and heading to downtown.

Defazio, hired by Tarrence’s family, told News 12 Westchester that nothing was ordinary, causing him to disappear.

“He looked good until everything before he walked out of that house,” Dazio said. “They had a boat trip to have supper, just like other families would do when they were here.”

Tarrence, who recently moved to Manhattan, arrived at Turkish and Caicos on June 22 with his wife. They plan to stay on June 29.

Tarrence disappeared and his wife went to bed. When she woke up, he was no longer at Airbnb.

“They seemed to have a few normal days and he ended up walking out of his apartment, which was a very safe place and the middle of Grace Bay Road,” Defazio told Fox News. “We had him sit on the camera, he walked into town, and then he basically disappeared and we haven’t heard from him since.”

On July 5, Royal Turks and Caicos Police Force shared that the body of an unidentified deceased was “in a state of decomposition” in the Grace Bay area around 9:06 a.m.

“No body was found in more than 90 or more days [degree] calories,” Defazio said.

The private investigator had previously told People that the body was found close to Airbnb left by Tarrence and his wife.

“He was found to be a 20-minute walk from where he last met,” Dazio added. “I would like to say that in a small residential commercial district, a block close to Leeward Highway.”
