“We have no experience in nature in the jungle. We are not dead. I have not brought my daughter to death in the jungle.”
Kutina tells the story of making artworks, using clay with her daughter and cooking “delicious food.”
“They are not sad. They are happy,” she said.
Eventually, the three were taken to a nonprofit women’s shelter, according to the New York Times. They have since been moved to a detention center specifically targeting illegal foreigners. Police said they are taking steps to repatriate Kutina to Russia for an overdue visa, but her child does not have a Russian passport.
Police inspectors said records show Kutina arrived in India with a business visa expired in April 2017. She left the country in September 2018 for Nepal but returned to India.
Kutina “will not provide appropriate details about her and her children’s passports and visas,” police adviser. Narayana M. said.
She did not disclose whether her child was born in India or Russia, but she told authorities that she had a son who died in Goa.
“She doesn’t want to leave because she likes nature, but we have to follow the procedures,” Narayana said. He said the fact that she managed to manage in India since 2017 was a security issue.
“(Entering) the cave is a dangerous thing, having two kids, it’s amazing to stay there for a week or more.”
Police statement said Kutina sent a message to her friends after she was found.
“Our peaceful life in the cave is over – our cave houses are destroyed,” she wrote in the message.
