IDF expanded its operations in Jabalya, destroying and demolishing 2.7 km. Long tunnel

The combat engineers of the 401st Brigade of the IDF found and demolished Jabalya’s tunnel network in the IDF’s expanding operations in Gaza.

The combat engineers of the 401st Brigade of the IDF Armored Forces have found and removed the network of tunnels located below Jabalya, measuring 2.7 km. IDF said on Sunday.

Hundreds of terrorist infrastructure have been removed, countless weapons have been confiscated, dozens of terrorists have been killed as part of IDF’s expansion of ground activities in the region.

Three members of the 401st Brigade were killed inside its tanks while operating in Jabalya last week. The IDF’s investigation shows that although their initial assessment was anti-tank missiles, the soldiers’ death was a turret explosion.

Updates to the Battle of Gaza

Since the Israel-Hamas war began in October 2023, the IDF renewed its operations in Jabalya in mid-June. Since the re-fight began, countless rocket launchers and tunnels have been said to have been removed.

Operations by Beit Hanun and Gaza City continue, uncovering and destroying Hamas infrastructure and coordinating their attacks with the Israeli Air Force.

The attacks include the killing of Mohammed Nasser Ali Qanita by IDF and Shin BET on June 19.
