Slovenian rider Tadejpogačar won the Tour de France for the fourth overall victory

Tadejpogačar won his fourth Tour de France championship with a comfortable profit after the final stage on Sunday, and even if he didn’t need it, he tried to win.

The 26-year-old Slovenian rider won the tour last year and in 2020 and 2021.

“It’s just speechless to win the Tour de France, which is particularly amazing,” he said. “I can be very proud of wearing this yellow jersey.”

Two-time Tour champion Jonas Vinegaard was 4 minutes and 24 seconds behind Pogačar in second place, with Florian Lipowitz ranked third and third.

Belgian rider Wout Van Aert won the 21st and final stages and broke with tradition and performed three climbs of Mount Montmatt.

Due to the risk of heavy rain and crashes, the organizers earlier decided to neutralize from the last 50km Times, effectively bringing Pogachel to a victory – but only if he crossed the finish line.

Pogačar does not need to participate in the stage victory, especially considering the danger of crashing on smooth roads. However, as the rain fell, he showed a relentless desire for victory, attacked anyway, and fans kept cheering on the pebbled lue leepic while the Montmartre climbed, with the flags and fans hanging from the windows.

On the third rise in Montmartre Hill, 1.1 km, only five riders left Pogačar.

After defending against American Matteo Jorgenson, Van Aert was trapped by the cold man when he launched a stunning attack to throw a stunning attack – yes, dropped! – The steepest part of the world’s best climber Pogačar.

“Honor of Waite, he is very powerful,” Pogachel said.

Van Aert took a step back to enjoy the prestigious stage victory. Pogačar looked tired as he crossed fourth place in fourth place and 19 seconds behind.

But then it was time to celebrate the fourth championship. Although don’t expect Pogačar to make any headlines in this regard.

“Everyone celebrates in their own way, I just want peace and pleasant weather, not like it is here today,” Pogačar said. “Just to enjoy the quiet days at home.”

Only four riders won the showdown five times: Belgian Eddy Merckx, Spanish Miguel Indurain and Frenchman Jacques Anquetil and Bernard Hinault.

Pogačar won four stages this year, bringing his tour to 21 and 30 contests, including six in Giro d’Italia and three in Spain’s Vuelta.

UAE leaders praised his teammates.

“I think the second week is the decisive moment,” Pogačar said. “We have a better advantage and are more comfortable in the third week.”

Meanwhile, Lipowitz won his first professional podium on a big tour, an alternative name for three major games.

His performance came last month at the Dauphin Standard, suggesting that the 24-year-old German rider could challenge in the near future.

Break the tradition

Traditionally, the final stage is mainly the itinerary, with riders circling around Paris. The tour broke out after the successful road race in Paris Olympics.

This is the fifth year that Pogačar and Vingegaard ended 1-2 on the tour.

Vingegaard finished second in 2021, then beat Pogačar with Slovenia second in the next two years. When Pogačar regained his title last year, Vingegaard finished second.

“We have raised each other’s level and pushed each other to the limit,” Pogačar said. “I have to say to him, great respect.”

Pogačar also won the Italia title, last year the first cyclist to win Giro and Tour Double in the same season since the late Marco Pantani in 1998.

But Pogačar has not won the Spanish Vuelta yet, while Anquetil, Hinault and Merckx have won all three major matches.

A century of success

When Pogačar won the fourth stage of the Hills of this year’s competition, it was his 100th career victory in his outstanding career, all the activities added up.

Pogačar is also the world road race champion.

He won the Standard on this year’s tour, continuing his outstanding performance of The Spring Classics, where he won his third victory with Liege (Bastogne).

After winning the Tour’s Phase 4, Pogačar added three more stage wins, including an emphasis on uphill time trial.

He would love to win the Paris-Rubaix Classic and Milan Sanremo.

The 259.2km (161 miles) Roubaix race is known as the “Hell of the North” because of its dangerous pebbled parts.

Pogačar’s debut at this year’s one-day classic made him seek to be the first to win the race since Hinault in 1981. But powerful Dutch rider Mathieu Van der Poel won the race for the third consecutive year.

Pogačar has not yet won Milan-San Remo, and this year Van der Poel beat him.

Roubaix and Milan-San Remo are expected to be fired next year.

But that’s not sure if he’ll fix Vuelta.
