Raducanu hires Francisco Roig as new coach – now tennis

Emma Raducanu Has been hired Franciso Roig To continue the revival season.

Roger succeeds Mark PageHe has been informally coaching Raducanu since the Miami Open. Tennis Channel analysts have agreed to work with Raducanu before the end of the grass season, but cannot promise a full-time coach due to his obligation to television comment.

Raducanu has partnered with Petchey, who previously coached at Andy Murray, to register some of his best results over the years.

The 22-year-old Raducanu reached the quarter-finals in Miami and Queen’s Club and won the semi-finals in Washington, D.C. Raducanu worked with Petchey to apply her athleticism and find joy in her tennis.

No. 33, Raducanu, defeated former Grand Slam champions Naomi Osaka and Marketa Vondrusova in recent months and led the world number one in Wimbledon’s third round 6-4 in two matches 7-6 (6), 6-4.

After the game, Rakanu said she hopes to continue working with Petchey but knows where he is.

“Yes, it’s very difficult. He obviously has a commitment to comment, too,” Rakanu said at Wimbledon. “He agreed to help me until Wimbledon ended and then we saw from there because he gave up some of the work he had worked with me here and I’m so grateful for it.”

Roig’s challenge is to encourage Raducanu to continue to use her athleticism, full-game skills and versatility, especially for the big hitters who can overwhelm here. Wimbledon finalist Amanda Anisimova beat Raducanu 6-2, 6-1 in Montreal to play a bold first-batting tennis ball.

Nevertheless, Raducanu should be encouraged to work with Petchey, which prompted Sabalenka to make bold assertions about Briton.

“I can’t predict anything, but I’m absolutely sure, maybe not in a month, but maybe longer, but she’ll definitely return to the highest,” Sabalenka said after defeating Raducanu at Wimbledon. “She’s fighting. She’s doing much better.

“She is more consistent. I can see her physical health. I think it’s important. Yes, I’m pretty sure she’s got there.”
