PLDT Eyes invites Crown to cover PVL on Tour

Las players can join the parent team to participate in strengthening meetings
From breaking the Prime Minister Volleyball League (PVL) championship roller skating to winning the second consecutive championship.
That’s what PLDT high-speed batsmen want to develop when shooting for the PVL Invitational Conference Championship, and it’s the icing on the cake to win their recent breakthrough title on the PVL Tour.
The franchise owned by the weary Manny V. Pangilinan won’t rest when Thursday’s brief but sweet six-team meeting started, when it clashed with familiar enemies in the Chery Tiggo crossover of Philsports Arena.
The 6:30 pm showdown will be a rematch between the two squads, who play against an epic duel in Tour Ninale’s PVL, with high-speed batsmen crossing the crossover through a full five-dish route.
“It’s part of the work. We celebrate Sunday, take a break and we’ll meet on Thursday,” said Rald Ricafort, a winning PLDT coach who ended the team’s championship drought since joining the league four years ago.
Other teams who saw the action at the conference were Tour Tour Thir Placer Creamline, Cignal and PVL from Japanese Squads Kobe Shinwa University and Kurashiki Ablaze.
Mr. Ricafort stressed that winning the first crown is about resilience.
“After past experiences, the team has become stronger. We have become braver and more resilient.”
PLDT also shows that it has firepower beyond the prolific Savi Davison, which some of the main players such as Mika Reyes, Majoy Baron and Kianna Dy strengthened the most important game in the game.
Ms Davidson said: “I’ve been saying that in practice, in the game, we have some of the best athletes. They get better every game.”
For Captain and Libero Kath Arado, all the hard work and sacrifice of the team paid off.
Ms. Aladdo said: “We really started from scratch on the journey because we had a lot of sacrifices and injuries that never seemed to end. We were lucky enough to finally see everything paid off.”
Meanwhile, Alas Pilipinas players can now report to PVL’s parent club after the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) sent a GO signal on Monday.
PVL President Ricky Palou told Monday Star.
However, Mr Palo clarified that they can only participate in the league’s strengthening meeting from October this year, rather than the brief six-team invitational event at the Philesport Stadium on Thursday.
Previously, the league strictly followed PNVF directives to prohibit national team players from practicing and playing with PVL teams at some time of the year.
But the PNVF green light refers to the fact that such as Jia de Guzman of Creamline, Mhicaela “Bella” Belen of Capital1, Vanie Gandler of Cignal, Thie Gandler of Zus Coffee, Thea Gagate of Zus Coffee, MJ Phillips of Brooke van Sickle and Petro Gazz and MJ Phillips of Fifi Sharma of Akari, Fifi Sharma of Akari can rejoin their unique team.
Mr Palo also said players in these countries still need to practice with Alas Pilipinas at least three times a week. – Joey Villar
