The defending champion mixed with the big American stars in the U.S. Open – Tennis Now

Then there are four.
In the two largest exhibitions at the U.S. Open, there were 12 matches and enthusiasm in the long day of mixed doubles matches as fans packed enthusiastically and cheered for some of the sports famous figures.
Finally, defending champions, Italy’s Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori, browsed numerous semi-finalists in the gloves of top talent, with three Americans, three top 10 singles and five former Grand Slam singles finalists.
Top-seeded Jessica Pegula and Jack Draper paired with Alcaraz-Raducanu in the first round and led with Daniil Medvedev and Mirra Andreeva to make their final four games and clashed with Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud.
In the second half of the year, Danielle Coolins and Christian Harrison, who were filled for Jannik Sinner and Katerina Siniakova, will face Errani and Vavassori.
The Italian wildcards play a role, and they are eager to prove that even in games filled with singles stars, top players should have a center stage. So far, so good.
“We’re playing for them, too,” Vavassori said of his doubles players, “because the joint singles rankings were used to determine the team’s qualifications, they were not eligible for the game. “I think it’s important to show that the tag team players are great players. I think our main goal in the future is to change the narrative because singles are great in singles, but doubles are amazing.”
The semi-finals and finals will be held at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Wednesday, with the semi-finals starting at 7 p.m.
