Trump does this again: US President updates claims to prevent India-Pakistan ‘nuclear war’

U.S. President Donald Trump once again claims that his intervention has prevented a “nuclear war” between India and Pakistan. Trump, wearing a hat with the “right everything” written on it, repeats his long-standing assertion that Washington is the key to reducing tensions.
He said: “Tango requires two. I want to meet those two… but many people think there is nothing in this meeting… We solved a nuclear war that could have been between India and Pakistan… I solved all the problems… In two weeks, we solved all of them and we would know which way I was going… They would know the way I was going.”

India refutes Trump’s remarks
India has rejected this narrative and stressed that Pakistan sought a ceasefire after major losses in operation Sindor. According to New Delhi, the breakthrough was through direct communication between the directors of the two countries’ military operations (DGMO) without the participation of the United States.
Trump hints at Ukraine’s decision
Trump turned to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, saying he would make a “very important decision” in the next two weeks, which could involve imposing “massive sanctions or tariffs” on Russia, or telling Ukraine that “this is not a war in Washington.”
“In two weeks, we will know what way I’m going to go… whether it’s mass sanctions or mass tariffs, or both, or we’re doing nothing, saying it’s your fight,” he told reporters.

Call for Putin-Zelenskyy dialogue
The president also promoted direct negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“Tango requires two. I want to meet with those two. If they don’t have a meeting, why is this what it is after I told them to have a meeting.”
India-Pakistan tensions have intensified after April 22 Pahargam terrorist attacks, and Trump’s remarks have increased, killing 26 people.
Trump has promoted a “full and direct” ceasefire after his first announcement since May 10 that the United States has promoted a “full and direct” ceasefire after the “long night” negotiations, reiterating more than 40 times the core, which is the core of his ending of the standoff. However, India insists that the downgrade is achieved independently.
