197 SCAM Report: GoGolook handed over scam vault data to CICC to enhance online scam investigation

The dataset covers the June 26-July 30 deadline, including 197 verified scam reports submitted by Filipino netizens through Scam Vault PH, a community-driven platform operated by Scam Watch Pilipinas in partnership with Gogolook.
Of the 197 scam reports, 77 involved SMS and instant messaging scams, including alerts from banks and mobile wallets that attempt to trick the recipient into clicking malicious links or revealing sensitive information.
Meanwhile, 108 reports come from social media platforms that reveal scam accounts as recruiters, online sellers, digital payment validators, and even impersonating government agents to gain public trust and withdraw data or money.
The remaining 12 reports involve malicious URLs, such as phishing sites and deep web pages designed to mimic legitimate institutions and deceive users into confidential information.
Among all channels, the most common types of scams include fraud, fraud, phishing, investment scams, and spam. The diversity of these scams highlights the evolving strategies of cybercriminals who continue to use digital platforms and trusted brands to deceive the public.
“This data reflects the power of digital collaboration. By mobilizing citizen reports through Whoscall and Scam Vault PH, we are able to give law enforcement a clearer understanding of the evolving scam landscape,” said Mel Migriño, national head of Gogolook, Philippines. “The handover to CICC is not only a milestone – it also hopes to continue to empower Filipinos with the tools and knowledge to fight back.”
CICC’s deputy executive director Aboy Paraiso welcomed the data transfer, calling it an important resource for ongoing cybercrime investigations.
“This is viable intelligence. With these citizen reports, we can track digital footprints, identify scam networks and protect more Filipinos,” Palaiso said. “We thank Gogolook and Scam for watching Pilipinas for helping turn public alertness into meaningful law enforcement leaders.”
The scam VAULT pH platform enables the public to report a variety of online scam content – from suspicious text messages and fake Facebook accounts to fraudulent websites.
Each submission was verified, classified and marked before forwarding to law enforcement agencies for investigation.
CICC is expected to integrate scam library data into its threat intelligence and cybercrime tracking systems. It will also coordinate with the Philippine National Police Counter-Ambient Organization (PNP-ACG) and other law enforcement agencies to seek potential clients, interrupt crime operations and hold perpetrators responsible.
The scam VART PH plan is a joint plan for Gogolook, CICC, PNP-ACG and scam viewing Pilipinas.
