New York – This trip is over Daniil Medvedev-Gilles Cervara partnership.

Former world No. 1 Medvedev broke away from the U.S. opening game amid controversy, and his coach weakened his coach for eight years.

French coach Cervara has worked with Medvedev for eight years to coach him at the 2021 U.S. Open Championship and the 2022 world rankings.

Cervara announced the split between the two on social media, praising Medvedev’s “unconventional magic as a player” and the results they produced together.

“Our excellent eight-season adventure will end,” said Sevara. “Like the symbolic blink of life, after the U.S. Open, we ended our collaboration.

“I am grateful for all the great things and wonderful experiences we have been able to experience together on the court over the past eight years.

“I thank you for your trust in me. I give everything every second to our shared goal.
I love training you, coaching you, supporting you (even if it’s hard), and helping you perform with you and the team. I will remember your unconventional magic as a player, which is your power. I’m sure it will return. ”

Medvedev thanked Cervara for her “amazing 8-10 years” in her Instagram post and denied Novak Djokovic’s calendar grand slam after Medvedev won the U.S. Open.

Medvedev fell into a three-game winning streak, losing to Benjamin Bonzi of the U.S. Open. During the game, a depressed Medvedev condemned the chairman referee at some point in the referee after a photographer ran out on the court.

Medvedev, a three-time U.S. Open finalist, lost his third straight Grand Slam first round, including his second major defeat against Bonzi and smashed his Tecnifibre racket in Rage. Medvedev was fined $42,500 for his actions. Medvedev was fined $30,000 for non-sports and $12,500 for his non-sports behavior, according to the Grand Slam rulebook.

Medvedev is thrown to Flushing’s first round of grass exit No. 16 in the ATP field ranking.
