New York – Historical troubles Felix auger-Aliassime be opposed to Andrey Rublev.
At a break earlier today, Auger-Aliassime hit a slam, and a fierce ball hit him in the U.S. advance to the second open quarterfinals.
Since the 2021 semifinals, he has hit 7-5, 6-3, 6-4 with easy aggressiveness, bombing his first Flush Meadow quarterfinal with 7-5, 6-3, 6-4 wins.
The 25-year-old Canadian arrived at the U.S. Open, starting from a pair of floating grass first-round exits, and has not reached the Grand Slam quarterfinals since the 2022 Australian Open.
It doesn’t matter for Canadian all-game stylists, who won 37 winners in a clinical two-hour and 16-minute win (18 more than Rublev) and saved three of four breakout points.

After a series of major struggles, Auger-Aliassime played some of his most active Grand Slam tennis while defeating a pair of heavy hitters over the years. In the third round of the Louis Armstrong Stadium, Aliassime of the Russian Diamond overturned the third-seeded former U.S. Open finalist Alexander Zverev 4-6, 7-6 (7), 6-4, 6-4.
His forehand sometimes shoots him with faith, while aber-aliassime controls most of today’s matches, the second defeat of Rublef and the first since the 2022 Rotterdam semi-final.

Aliassime, the world’s No. 27 diamond, won two of three meetings with De Minaur; the quarterfinals will be their first major meeting.

Former fifth-placed Rublev made his way to the Arthur Ashe Stadium with a 7-1 lifetime record against Auger-Aliassime, his best record against any top ten opponents.
25 years ago, Marat Safin shocked Pete Sampras and occupied the 2000 U.S. Open Crown. A bearded Safin has been joining one of Rublev coaches starting today, joining Fernando Vicente, who often shouts encouragement and guidance to the Russians.
Rublev drew the first blowout blood and supported the rest with a 3-1 lead.

The 25th Seed Canadian cut the tape with his forehand inside and out, then dragged the tape forward and grabbed the first set through his second serving time.
Overall, in that opening match, spiral-Aliassime accounted for 64%, and won 22 of 28 first scores.
Online, Rublev runs wildly from pressure to boiling to the second group halfway.
Rublev wasted a 40-0 lead, and he repeatedly tested Canada’s forehand back and was frozen by the big propeller’s forehand return.

Serve for the quarterfinals, the auger-Aliass is perfect. The Canadian broke his 11th ace, fired an inside-out forehand and hit it down with a backhand bolt.
