Toyota reduces price to Rs 3.5 lakh GST 2.0: Fortuner, Innova, Glanza, Bencross and Hyryder – Check the model list

Toyota Kirloskar Motor announced a significant price reduction in its portfolio, which fully passes the benefits of the recent reduction of GST tax rates to customers. The move started before the festive season, making several popular Toyota models more affordable.

In the mid-range segment, Toyota’s popular SUVs and MPVs have been substantially revised. The Innova Crysta is now priced at Rs 1.8 lakh, up to Rs 1.15 lakh, while the compact SUV Taisor is up to Rs 1.111 crore.

Relief can also be seen in the entry-level model

For budget-conscious buyers, Toyota’s hatchback Glanza can now cut Rs 85,300, while the price of the Rumion MPV has dropped by as much as Rs 48,700. Urban Cruiser Hyryder, a powerful player in the hybrid SUV market, has dropped Rs 65,400.

Toyota has urged customers to confirm recent dealer revised pricing, as benefits may vary by variant and location. The company also recommends early bookings to ensure delivery of the holiday season.

Fortuner, Legends get the steepest cut

The sharpest reduction is Toyota’s premium model. Now, the price of this Fateman will be as high as Rs 3.49 crore, followed by the legendary figure, with the price being reduced by Rs 3.34 lakh. The Hilux lifestyle pickups can be reduced by up to Rs 2.52 lakh, while luxury models such as the Vellfire and Camry have been reduced by Rs 2.78 lakh and Rs 10.1 lakh, respectively.

With these price cuts, Toyota expects stronger demand in all segments, especially for Fortuner, Innova and Hyryder, who already enjoy strong customer interest in India.

The classic legend also announced new prices for its Jawa and Yezdi Motorcycles following Toyota’s move. Today, popular models such as the Adventure, Roadster, Bobber and Scrambler are now priced under Rs 2 lakh, providing affordability for two-wheelers before the festival.

GST 2.0 reshapes the car tax, electric vehicles stay at 5%

Under the new GST 2.0 framework, all internal combustion engine (ICE) cars will now fall on the 18% or 40% tax board.

Smaller vehicles (such as hatchbacks, compact sedans and compact SUVs) fall into the 18% category, while mid-size, larger and luxurious models will attract a higher 40% tax. Previously, the ice truck charged 28% GST and the additional compensation was 1% to 22% depending on the engine size and the length of the vehicle.

For electric vehicles, the GST rate remains the same at 5%, while the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle (FCEV) has dropped from 12% to 5%.
