I looked back to back at every Raven sequel, I did a pretty good job

The Crow is my favorite vengeance thriller ever. So much that I refuse to watch a 2024 remake or any sequel to fate. When a close friend (read: opponent) forces me to watch 2005 Evil prayerI decided to hit him and watch every 1994 movie in the Crow Movie Series.
I usually like bad movies if they execute bad movies sincerely, but I find myself incredible City of Angels,,,,, salvation,,,,, Evil prayerand finally a 2024 remake. Everyone is worse than the last one, with little resemblance to the movie that started it all, and none of them can replicate the original charm in any way.
City of Angels (1996)
The first sequel in the Crow Movie series is essentially a beat entertainment for the original, but has a brand new cast. The story of the release only two years later moved to Los Angeles, where the first film’s adult Sarah guided Ashe Corven through his resurrection and revenge arc because she knew what happened to Eric Draven and Shelley.

Vincent Pérez took the role, but lacked the one-ounce Charisma Brandon Lee owned in spades. Ashe puts on familiar makeup and avenges herself and her son Danny, letting the Crow Badge serve as a phone card to ensure the brand remains intact City of Angels. The problem is that he looks like he is wearing 21 weird cross section costumes that are forever, and the two sizes are too small, and his explanation never makes sense.
Ash is not a Goth like Eric Draven, so why should he wear parts? Worse, the movie is not cathartic. Everything felt.

salvation (2000)
My favorite original work so far, salvation Using a criminal procedural approach actually has potential. Although still closely related to the same cinematic universe, it ignores the events of the first two movies and tries to do its own thing, which earned my respect.

Eric Mabius plays Alex Frederick Corvis, who was wrongly executed for murdering his girlfriend Lauren (Jodi Lyn O’Keefe). Determined to clear his name and take revenge on corrupt police, Alex and Lauren’s sister, Erin (Kirsten Dunst), team, who unconsciously falls into a conspiracy that is doomed to him.
Redemption begins as a powerful entries in the Crow’s film series, but loses momentum due to flooding with too many side characters, plots and unnecessary knowledge. It tries to juggle everything at once and ends up with almost no reward.

Evil prayer (2005)
2005 Evil prayerthe last post before remake should not be properly analyzed, but just a ridicule of existing ones.
Edward Furlong’s role as Harry Potter’s role as Robert Smith, Dennis Hopper portrays a Satanic missionary who plays wisdom, Tara Reid proves that “the mean girl” looks aged like milk, while Danny Trejo dies from the prompts in the expected way.

The moment I broke me when Jimmy Cuervo of Furlong lamented the crow turned him into a monster. Eric Draven was excited to become an active and willing participant in the Revenge Arc. Jimmy was in his footsteps anywhere else. Christopher Nolan released two weeks ago Batman is starting,,,,, Evil prayer send Crow Movie Series whim chants.

crow (2024)
I have high hopes for remakes because Bill Skarsgård is a reliable horror star. Everything will improve after watching the sequel from the Crow Movie series.
The movie does handle the legend very well, but it’s a mess at the pace. Eric Draven’s death didn’t happen until nearly 40 minutes, with the weight dropping too much backstory. Despite the ridiculously violent and clever killing, and photography finally recaptures decades of gritty Gothic aesthetics missing, the film stands out before its big third act climax.

In my opinion, there is potential for re-editing what’s there: starting with Draven’s death, using flashbacks to accumulate, and keeping the background crunched. This version will be more observable. But that’s not.

No more resurrections
I can’t think of another movie series, collapsed, and achieved so easily after chasing the original achievements. Brandon Lee just knows the task and puts the charm into every framework. The crow is thin, ruthless, and has zero fat on the bones. Almost 30 years later, it still sticks with it because it has been executed perfectly.
On the other hand, the sequel belongs only to the Crow Movie series. They completely missed this.
