Agassi before Agassi Marvels in Alcaraz in San Francisco’s Laver Cup Conflict – Tennis Now

Carlos Alcaraz will be the heart of Europe at the Laver Cup in San Francisco this week, and one of the greats of all time in tennis will face him on the opposite bench.
Laver Cup, it seems to be always available, doesn’t it?
Eight-time Major Champion Andre Agassi, who is the first team world captain, stepped in for John McEnroe, who has put his hat on the world No. 1 and is happy to watch it up close this weekend at Chase Center in San Francisco.
“There is no place in the world, and he is not the favorite of the crowd.” Agassi told atptour.com. “For obvious reasons. What he brings to the game is a mixture of the last generation we have.
“I know Novak is still playing, but Novak, Roger and Rafa – he’s like everyone’s combination, can be done with RPM [on the ball]he likes Nowak’s defense, and he feels like Federer. It is remarkable to see a person on the tennis court. ”
The admiration is real, and pretty universal at this point, but Agassi knows he’ll also have to prepare his team to put the kibosh on Alcaraz’s brilliance. Easier said than done...
“[He is] “I’ve seen him live several times, but in the game next to the court, it’s one of the most explosive, dynamic players of all time,” Agassi said.
