Beatriz Haddad Maia will take several months to rest and recover after a grueling 2025 season. The Brazilian posted news on her Instagram on Monday, ranking 40th in singles and 33rd in doubles.
“I’m going to sort out my 2025 season ahead of time so I can stay physically and mentally for longer,” she wrote. “Don’t worry, I’ll be stronger and the best hasn’t come yet.”
The former world No. 1 singles beat the top 20 2-6 with a 16-26 record and a top score on Strasbourg’s Red Clay, where she reached the semifinals. Haddada Maia entered the 16th round of the U.S. Open 6-4 in the Grand Slam.
