Alexander Bublik hit a new height on Tuesday at the 2025 campaign at the Lynk & Co Hangzhou Open, where he won his fourth title of the season.

The 28-year-old Kazakh man beat the spirited French qualifiers 7-6 (4), 7-6 (4) in the final and finished a flawless week in the final, becoming the only player to win the ATP Tour trophy this season with Taylor Fritz.

Bublik first ensured he will advance to career-high No. 16 in the PIF ATP rankings on Wednesday by winning his eighth tour title and on the outdoor hard court. He also joined the world number one Carlos Alkaraz (7) as the one with four or more trophies in 2025.

When asked about his 2025 campaign, Bubic said: “Honestly, I always say that victory doesn’t get me through the roof and the loss doesn’t get me in trouble.” “I’m trying to stay steady. I love my job. I’m happy to be able to travel, compete and stay healthy, and victory is coming…it’s beautiful.”

Bublik worked hard to find his own pace at the early stages of his first Lexus ATP Head2head meeting with Royer, but he was finally able to capitalize on his trademark unpredictability and fearless service. He hit 21 A’s and saved each of his two-hour breakpoints in an hour and 51-minute conflict.

“He was incredible, I didn’t expect it,” Bubic said of Roye. “He got close to that level during the game, he surpassed the game. He did a great job and I really had to win in the game and do what I could. I won and played some amazing balls throughout the game, and I only won a few points.”

According to data from Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index, Bublik made a 31-17 record in the titles of Halle, Gstaad, Kitzbuehel and Hangzhou. He has only five wins from his best career win since 2021.

Bublik also improved his chances of qualifying for the Nitto ATP finals for the first time. He ranked 12th in the PIF ATP live competition, entered Turin and will head to Beijing’s ATP 500.

Royer competed in his first ATP Tour final and qualified for No. 1 top seed Andrey Rublev in the second round. Although he couldn’t find a solution for Bublik, the 24-year-old Frenchman raised 13 locations to a career-high No. 75 in the PIF ATP Live rankings after breaking through.
