Jack Draper breaks up with coach – Tennis Now

World No. 9 Draper has announced hire Former Andy Murray coach Jamie Delgado into the 2026 season, but expressed the hope that Trotman will remain on the coaching staff.

Trotman told Russell Fuller, BBC After four years together, he chose to leave Draper’s team to spend more time at home with his family.

“I’ve decided these four years will be a great experience,” Trotman told BBC Sport. “I absolutely love it but it’s becoming increasingly difficult for me to juggle the demands that Jack deserves as a player and as a father and husband.

“I need to start getting my energy levels back and living a more normal life: watching my son play football on Sundays, going on vacation with my family and living a more normal life.”

Despite their split, Trotman and Draper have been training together over the last week, as the 23-year-old Briton began his planned recovery from the left shoulder problem that forced him to withdraw from the U.S. Open, BBC Sport reported. Draper lost to Zizzou Bergès in the second round of the U.S. Open in August and has not competed since his first-round victory over Federico Gomez at the U.S. Open.
