Felix Auger-Aliassime has withdrawn from the Mosel Open in Metz, one of two ATP 250 events held in the final week of the regular season.

The Canadian held new world No. 1 Jannik Sinner to two sets in Sunday’s Rolex Paris Masters final. The 25-year-old, who has recovered from a set loss in his first three matches in the French capital, withdrew citing a left knee injury.

Auger-Aliassim’s withdrawal will put at risk his qualification for a second Nitto ATP Finals, which begins in Turin on Sunday. The eight-time ATP Tour champion finished eighth at the PIF ATP Live event in Turin, holding the final spot in the season finale. But if ninth-ranked Lorenzo Musetti wins this week’s other ATP 250 event in Athens, the Italian will join compatriot Sinner in Turin.

According to the Infosys ATP Win-Loss Index, Auger-Aliassime has a record of 48-22 this season. This is the second time in his career that he has reached 40 wins in a season, second only to the 60 wins he achieved in 2022 when he qualified for the Nitto ATP Finals.
