ATP will start the next generation ATP Finals bidding process from 2026
The event will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from 2023
November 07, 2025
The ATP today launched a global bid process to determine the next host city for the award-winning Next Generation ATP Finals starting in 2026.
After five successful editions in Milan, Italy, the event will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from 2023, bringing together the top eight ATP singles players aged 20 and under. Through a season-long qualifying tournament, the event builds a consistent and powerful storyline for the host city, culminating in extensive global broadcast, social and digital exposure during the competition.
Six of the current top 10 players in the PIF ATP rankings have participated in this event, including Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, both of whom are past champions of this event. Most recently, Joao Fonseca lifted the 2024 trophy before winning his first two ATP Tour titles this season and climbing to a career-high world ranking of No. 24.
In addition to providing a platform to showcase emerging talents in the sport, the Next Generation ATP Finals drives innovation in tennis. Concepts first tested at the event – including live electronic line calling, video review and data integration via wearable technology – have since been adopted throughout the ATP Tour. These advancements continue to reshape the fan and player experience, while the event’s fast-paced, cutting-edge format attracts new audiences to the sport.
ATP President Andrea Gaudenzi Said: “The Next Generation ATP Finals is the prototype for the future of tennis. It has delivered exactly what it set out to do – to create a launching pad for the stars of tomorrow and reimagine how our sport is played and experienced. Its impact is evident – from the rise of the event’s past champions to the game-changing technology it brings to the circuit.”
“We look forward to raising the bar yet again with our third edition in Jeddah this December. We thank the Saudi Tennis Federation and all event partners for their vision to create a truly extraordinary event. Looking ahead to 2026, we are delighted to invite potential host cities to share this vision and allow the event to continue to grow and succeed.”
The bidding process, which begins today, will be managed by Deloitte Sports Practice Group. Interested parties must submit a Letter of Interest, available here: expression of interest form
Suitable candidate cities will receive complete bid documents in the coming weeks, with final bids due to be submitted by January 22, 2026. A shortlist of potential candidate cities will then be selected, with the final location announced in early 2026.
