Novak Djokovic is very familiar with lifting trophies. The Serbian superstar won 102 tour-level singles crowns during his illustrious career.
But it was Djokovic who presented the trophy to someone else during Saturday’s Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix sprint. The 38-year-old presented the trophies to winners Oscar Piastri, George Russell and Lando Norris.

Djokovic has gotten to know many F1 drivers over the years. The former PIF ATP No. 1 had a great chat with Russell in Monte Carlo two years ago, the Englishman at Wimbledon last year and Norris in Qatar a year ago. Piastri appreciated his moment with Djokovic on Saturday and posted a photo of them on his Instagram Stories.
Djokovic also met members of the legendary band Metallica and took photos with Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo. Ulrich’s father, Torben Ulrich, was a professional tennis player who reached the fourth round in singles matches at three of the four Grand Slams.
