Casper Ruud and his wife Maria announced the birth of their daughter on January 30. The No. 13 player in the PIF ATP rankings confirmed the news in a social media post on Sunday.
“Thank you for all the wonderful messages you’ve sent over the past few weeks,” Vanney wrote on Instagram. “Maria and our kids are doing great.”

The 14-time ATP Tour champion spoke to ATPTour.com last month about his excitement about becoming a father for the first time.
“It’s really exciting. It’s something we’ve been looking forward to for half a year, so the clock is ticking and this will be a new chapter for us,” Rudd said. “[It will be] Itβs a new lifestyle on tour and Iβm really looking forward to it because I know how close I am to my family, my dad and my mom.
“I’m looking forward to being a good parent myself. Even though this life requires a lot of time, energy and a lot of travel and things like that, I’m looking forward to being out there as much as possible and when I have down time – time away from the court – I’ll be where I want to be with my future daughter.”
