2026 Australian Open champion Elena Rybakina has moved up to third in the world rankings, matching her career high, while teenage stars Victoria Mboko and Iva Jovic have reached career highs at Nos. 13 and 20 respectively.

Meanwhile, No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka has been No. 1 for her 75th consecutive week. She has held the top spot since October 21, 2024, and is currently more than 3,000 points ahead of second-placed Swiatek.

Another teenage Czech, Tereza Valentova, also reached a career-high ranking of 44th, Alexandra Eala moved up four places to a career-high 45th, and Indonesian Janice Tjen climbed to 47th.

Madison Keys, the 2025 Australian Open champion, dropped six spots to 15th after losing her title defense in the last 16 in Melbourne.

Turkey’s Zeynep Sonmez was the biggest riser in the top 100, jumping 33 spots to No. 79.

American player Peyton Stearns reached the third round in Australia, rising 18 spots to No. 50, meaning that 10 American players entered the top 50 this week, and three players – No. 4 Anisimova, No. 5 Gauff and No. 6 Pegula – entered the top 10.

Mom makes history

Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina returns to the top 10 for the first time as a mother after reaching her first Australian Open semi-final. She is one of two mothers in the top 10 this week – Switzerland’s Belinda Benge is ninth – and it’s a special day for the WTA Tour.

According to the WTA Tour, the veteran pair made history as the first two mothers to simultaneously reach the top 10.
Swiss player Bencic returned to the top 10 in mid-January for the first time since taking a break from competition in September 2023 to give birth to baby Bella.

Skai’s mother Svitolina returned from maternity leave in 2023.
