Djokovic withdraws from Doha – Tennis Now

Novak Djokovic Will not be returning to Doha.
Grand Slam king Djokovic withdrew from the Qatar Open due to “severe fatigue” when he reached the Australian Open final earlier this month.
The tournament announced Djokovic’s withdrawal today on social media.
The Qatar Open is scheduled to be held from February 16th to 21st.
Former world number one Djokovic won the Doha championship for two consecutive years in 2016 and 2017. Djokovic defeated rival Rafael Nadal in the 2016 final and Andy Murray in the 2017 final.
A year ago, Djokovic lost to Matteo Berrettini 7-6(4), 6-2 in the Doha opener.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion has entered the Indian Wells roster and plans to participate in the French Open in Paris next month.
