Top seed Francisco Cerundolo and two-time defending champion Sebastian Baez have found their way into the 2026 Rio Open hosted by Claro following Saturday’s draw.
Cerundolo begins his clay-court ATP 500 campaign against fellow Argentinian Mariano Navone, with their Lexus ATP head-to-head tie tied 1-1. Cerundolo may then face Brazilian João Fonseca in the quarter-finals of #NextGenATP.
Baez became the first man to successfully defend his Rio title last year against Carlos Taberna. Second seed Luciano Darderi, a three-time clay court champion in 2025, begins his fight with Juan Manuel Cerundolo.

Former PIF ATP No. 6 player Matteo Berrettini will compete in his second tournament of the season. The Italian pulled out of the Australian Open with an abdominal injury before returning this week in Buenos Aires. He faced compatriot Lorenzo Sonego in the first round.
Fritz aims for third Delray Beach title
Taylor Fritz begins his quest for a third Delray Beach Open title against either Ethan Quinn or Rafael Jodar, who entered the main draw through the Next Gen Accelerator.
Fritz, who won back-to-back trophies at ATP 250 events in 2023 and 2024, is the top seed among 12 other home players. These include fourth seed Learner Tien, 2024 finalist Tommy Paul and 2018 champion Frances Tiafoe.

Defending champion Miomir Kekmanovic faces Mattia Bellucci in the first round, while former world No. 3 Marin Cilic will face seventh seed Brandon Nakajima in another first-round match of interest.
