Iran apparently launched attacks on Middle Eastern targets, including Dubai, in retaliation for attacks by the United States and Israel, leading to the suspension of flights at Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC).

According to Reuters, all flights in and out of Dubai are currently suspended.

Medvedev defeated Grikspur, who suffered an injury to his left leg, in yesterday’s semi-finals and claimed his second Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship title earlier today.

Medvedev has not commented on his efforts to leave Dubai, although he posted “23” as he won his 23rd career title today. This marks the first time the former U.S. Open champion has won the same event twice.

Former world number one Medvedev and Grikspur are both planning to leave Dubai for the United States to attend next week’s BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

The Fairmont Palm, a luxury hotel in downtown Dubai, was hit by an apparent retaliatory attack by Iran, the BBC reported.
