However, the video shows the quarterback talking to someone who imitates New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis.

“It's a long wait, man,” said the caller who heard the prank in the video. “We're going to take you next option, man, but you're going to wait a little longer, man. Sorry for that.”

Shedeur Sanders talked about what he did seemed to be right, “I could have done it differently”

Another video toured on social media on the man suspected of calling Sanders. He was reading the script on his legs, and the side-by-side video of the two conversations seemed to match the video of Sanders' own situation.

Sanders was confused after Sanders hung up, as did his friends and family around him.

“What does this mean?” Sanders said.

Shortly thereafter, he ended the live broadcast on the Twitch.

Sanders eventually got a real call from Brons general manager Andrew Berry, who told him they would be named after No. 144 in the fifth round.

“It didn't really affect me because it was like, I mean, well, like I don't get into negative emotions or eat these things.” Sanders told Cleveland media the prank call via ESPN. “You have seen it on Deion [Sanders] JR's YouTube video. My reaction to this, I didn't – that's it. Of course, I think it's childish. Of course, I think it's a childish act, but everyone does childish things here and there. ”

Sanders' new head coach Kevin Stefanski said when asked about the prank call, “people are idiots.”

After the prank call, the Saints ended up choosing Tyler Shoough of Louisville and took the overall pick of No. 40 – again, the quarterback was not named Sanders. There will be two more times the next day – Jalen Milroe and Sanders' Brown classmate Dillon Gabriel.
