“It was such a big awakening for me when I became a single mom and I realized, ‘Wow, that’s no joke.’ Obviously, being a parent is a big transition, life changes a lot, but doing it yourself is another thing,” Britton told us. “So, I learned in the process that the importance of having a community and support system. I started thinking, 'Oh my God, I'm one of the lucky people. I can get help when I need it. And, many single mothers and single parents in the world don't have privileges.'”

Britton is determined to “really change the cultural perspectives of single parents.”
