NU, UST questioned UAAP men's volleyball last final ticket

Wednesday's game
(Smart Araneta Stadium)
2 pm – Uster vs nu
(The man's last four knockout rounds)
They win or go home against the four-quarter National University (NU) and St. Thomas University (UST) in the UAAP season 87 men's volleyball knockout match Wednesday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The match time is 2pm and UST Golden Spikers hopes to complete a stunning match 1 win to neutralize the downside of the two winning losses to eliminate the NU Bulldogs.
The Santo Tomas win would deny NU's five straight titles and exit early in the semifinals, and arranged three best-final showdowns against No. 1 seed Far East, which threw De la Salle University into 24-26, 25-23, 25-23, 25-19, 25-20 in one attempt.
“We’re just fighting for another day,” said coach Odjie Mamon, who hopes to reach the deal in a strong retaliation for four straight titles.
The momentum is against the UST Golden Spikers, led by dominant MVP Josh Ybañez and Gboy de Vega, and scored 26-24, 27-25, 19-25, 25-18 in the series opener, forcing the winner to play 2 games in the full game.
This is a stark contrast to NU Bulldogs winning in the last four games, including winning the 86 season finals this season, with a fourth straight title.
Hopefully Nu Bulldogs, under the guidance of Dante Alinsurin, went out of their way to compete with Leo Aringo, Leo Ordiales, Peng Taguibolos and Jade Disquitado. – John Bryan Ulanday
