Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is planning to visit Chamu Air Base and Progress Area and Kashmir (J&K) in Chamu on Thursday, May 15.
The official statement said the visit of the union minister is crucial to boost morale of frontline troops and to review operational readiness in sensitive areas.
During the visit, Singh is expected to interact with soldiers who play a key role in the successful anti-infiltration operation along the Line of Control.
This development comes after both Indian and Pakistani people agreed to Pakistan’s demand for a ceasefire, including drones and missiles on Indian land, targeting civilians and military facilities.
Meanwhile, India’s retaliatory action, known as Operation Sindoor, is linked to the terrorist attack on Pahalgam on April 22, where 26 tourists were killed.
