Ahmedabad plane crash: The Indian plane crash on Thursday was marked as one of the deadliest aviation disasters, not only in India, but globally.

The crash occurred just around 1:38 after takeoff, when AI 171, a Dreamliner flight from Air India (walking in London Gatwick) crashed into the residential area of ​​BJ Medical College in Ahmedabad and Mess Hall. The plane carried 241 people on board.

Video surfaced shortly after the incident showed that the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner lost control and departed from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport shortly afterwards. The plane reportedly collapsed in the air, split into three parts before it collapsed and triggered a huge explosion.

Later that night, Air India confirmed 241 people died in the crash. Of the 242 people on board, there were 230 passengers, 10 pilots and 2 pilots. The victims included 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, seven Portuguese nationals and one Canadian national.

The impact of the crash was so severe that it not only killed all the boats, but also caused casualties on the ground, including doctors and interns in the impacted university building. However, the exact number of deaths on the ground is yet to be confirmed.

Only one person survived the plane, 40-year-old Indian British national Vishwash Kumar Ramesh. He reportedly jumped out of the emergency exit next to his seat to save himself. He is currently receiving treatment at a civil hospital in Ahmedabad.

Indian authorities said on Friday that an investigation into the crash is underway. The survey will include experts from aircraft manufacturers Boeing and U.S. aviation regulators. However, there are still several problems, especially the possibility of such a catastrophic collapse just after takeoff.

The engine malfunctioned shortly after takeoff?

Takeoff is one of the most sensitive phases of flight, and any failure poses serious risks. In this case, experts say pilot Sumit Subbarwal managed to make an emergency “Mayday” call, indicating that there is time to declare distress, but there is not enough altitude or control to stabilize the aircraft.

Is it unlikely that the runway length will become a problem?

Some aviation professionals initially raised concerns about whether the aircraft used the entire runway length, which is essential for a fantastic ride on heavy jets to achieve safe takeoff speeds. However, flight tracking data from Flighttradar24 confirmed that the aircraft all used a 23 (11,499 feet long) runway. The data also show that the plane climbed to 625 feet before landing, which is usually sufficiently high after fishing, so there is less chance of runway-related problems.

Is it unlikely that both engines will lose power?
